Sealed Bids for construction of the 2023 Waterline Replacement will be received by the SOUTHGATE WATER DISTRICT (the "Owner") at the office of the District, 3722 East Orchard Road, Centennial, Colorado 80121, and publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 pm on March 23, 2023.
The Work generally consists of furnishing, delivering, constructing, installing, connecting, and testing approximately 9,300 lineal feet of 4 to 12-inch waterlines, fire hydrants, blowoff assemblies, service line re-activations, and existing waterline abandonment. Existing pipe material includes asbestos cement, PVC, and ductile iron. The Work includes extensive scheduling, permitting, and traffic control. The construction of all water main line work shall include providing and installing all necessary piping, fittings, valves, hydrants, and all other appurtenances to complete a fully functioning potable water distribution system and as shown or called for in the Contract Documents. All permitting, traffic control, potholing, excavating, asphalt and concrete removal and replacement, dewatering, backfilling, trench shoring, testing, surface restoration, site restoration and abandonments shall be performed by the Contractor as part of this Work.
Contract Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be obtained electronically by emailing beginning March 7, 2023. A Bid Bond or certified check payable to the Owner in the amount of 10% of the amount bid must be submitted with each Bid. A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 16, 2023 at the Southgate office. A virtual option will also be provided. Attendance is recommended but not required to submit bid documents.
Bids shall be in accordance with the Bid Documents. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds required by law for public works projects and provide satisfactory evidence of insurance coverage required by the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities in any Bids.
