Sanitation District
Southgate Sanitation District consists of approximately 235 miles of pipelines. The sanitary sewer collection system also consists of an odor station where bioxide is injected into the system to help mitigate odor concerns. Southgate Sanitation District collects wastewater and conveys it to the South Platte Renew Wastewater Treatment Plant (formerly Littleton/Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant). This means South Platte Renew Wastewater Treatment Plant collects, treats, tests, and returns treated wastewater to the South Platte river.
